Frequently Asked Questions
What does the name "Everything Akasha" mean?
"Akasha" is the Sanskrit word for "Spirit" or "Quintessence." "Everything Akasha" means "Everything Spiritual."
What does your "swirl" logo represent?
In metaphysics, Akasha is present anywhere the four elements of Earth, Air, Fire & Water are present together. Our logo represents the elements (Earth = green, Air = yellow, Fire = red, Water = Blue) swirling together to create Akasha (black & white).
How do you formulate your recipes?|
Our recipes are well researched by magickal botany, mythology, lore, and divination. We assemble a list of possible ingredients for a particular application, and then choose from that list based on the number of ingredients needed, how the scents will work together, and how well they represent the application. Then, after a little (or a lot) of trial and error, we arrive at a blend that we are happy with and are ready to offer to our customers.
Though we don't have our own store at this time, our products can be ordered here on this site, or purchased at a few retail locations that carry our products. We also vend our products at local festivals and events.
How long does your incense burn?
Our incense sticks generally burn from 45 minutes to an hour depending on draft, and the scent may linger in the room for a few days depending on air circulation.
Do you use essential or fragrance oil?
We use essential oils where law, ethics, and cost may permit. Some desired materials are illegal, endangered, or animal products therefore we do not use them. In this case a substitution is made by a fragrance bouquet, which is a blend of oils that carries the same scent as that which is being replaced.
Yes, our oils may be worn, but as with any oil, care should be taken in their application. Before wearing any oil for the first time, it should be tested by placing a small amount on the wrist to see if there is any reaction. If a rash or burning occurs, DO NOT continue use on the skin. In some cases, cutting the oil with a "carrier" oil such as grapeseed or almond oil will make it more friendly to wear.
If not wearing an oil, what else can it be used for?
Oils can be used in a variety of ways other than wearing them. They can be used to anoint candles, refresh dry pot pourri, heated in a simmering pot, or placed in a diffuser among many other uses.
I don't see the blend I'm looking for, do you take requests?
We take requests to a point. We will gladly blend any of the straight scents we offer to your specification. Some requests may require a minimum purchase. it is best to call or e-mail with your request for further details.
